History:

Salesforce.com was founded in 1999 by former Oracle executive Marc Marc Benioff (Chairman & CEO) Parker Harris The company went public on the New York Stock Exchange under the stock symbol CRM.Initial investors in salesforce.com were Marc Benioff, Larry Ellison,Halsey Minor,Magdalena Yesil and Igor sill,Geneva Venture Partners.

Current Status:

Headquartered-                   : San Francisco and California

Regional headquarters    : Switzerland (covering Europe, Middle East, and Africa, Singapore)

Asia Pacific –

India , Japan, and Tokyo (coveringJapan). Other major offices are in Toronto, New York, London, Sydney, Dublin, Hyderabad and San Mateo,California.

2. Sf.com is an application build on      force.com platform	2. SF.com is hosted on Force.com
3. Force.com License 3 times cheaper     than SF.com License but takes 3     times effort & time to build Apps      than Salesforce.com	3. SF.com & Force.com are more/less     interchangeable
